"We are now heading into the first of the two longest nights of this year. Since the Solstice is right around noon EST, those of us on the East coast of the US will have two nights, almost equally long, that will be the longest, one on either side of the Solstice. Enjoy the nighttime activities, and rejoice in the beginning of SOL's climb back into the heavens!"
Title: 14 December, 1899
Pairing: Holmes/Watson
Note: It is a truth universally acknowledged that an H/W slasher in possession of a good copy of the Canon must eventually write their version of the Milverton case. This new entry into Watson's Journal is not so much a story about the case itself but about an event that is prompted by it, for it is a momentous one which affects Our Heroes greatly. Many thanks and a tip of the deerstalker to charlotteyonge for her beta duties, for she pointed out the awkward bits and made excellent suggestions for improvement.
Warning: Flatulence jokes and a really bad pun. Rated NC-17.
